Privacy, in plain words
The short version. The privacy policy says the same at length, and the two never disagree.
What does Omnoti store about me?
Your name and how to say it, the photo you chose, the facts you typed (spouse, hometown, work, “ask me about”), the contact details you added, which names you have learned, and the switches you set. If you are the secretary, also what you did as secretary, so the next one can see it.
Who sees it?
Members of your club, and only what you allowed. Your phone, email, address and birthday each have a switch: the whole club, officers only, or just you. The club decides who is in the directory; you decide what of yours is in it. The secretary sees what the roster needs.
Is anything computed from my photo?
No. Not now, not later, not for sign-in, not to find lookalikes, not to tag you. Photos are stored, resized and shown. This is a rule of the product, written into how it is built and checked on every change.
Does it leave the club?
No. Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising, and this site has no tracker. The services that carry your information are hosting, photo storage, the text and email carriers, and push notifications, each under contract to do only that job.
What about the games? Is there a score?
You have one, and it is yours. Nobody sees who knows the fewest names, and there is no ranking. The club sees one number about a newcomer: how many members know them by name, never which ones.
Can I leave?
Yes, in the app, under Me and Privacy: download everything Omnoti holds about you, leave a club, or delete your account. Deleting removes your photos, facts, notes and learning everywhere; the club’s roster keeps your name only, as it would on paper.
Texts and notifications
Omnoti texts you only when you asked: a sign-in code you requested, or your club’s urgent messages after you turned club texts on under Me. They are off until you do. Reply STOP to any text and they stop. Omnoti never texts an invite; your secretary may send you one from their own phone. The meeting-morning reminder and the Friday email each have a switch.
Children
Omnoti is for adults; nobody under 18 can have an account. A member may list their children’s first names as a fact about themselves, shown only to whom they choose.
